Baby Bobbles Afghan

No holes, nice texture and can be worked in bulky, worsted wt, or baby wt. Works up beautifully in both bulky and ww. Also looks great in either solid or variegated colors.

Materials Needed
22 oz. bulky wt acrylic yarn
K (6.5 mm) hook
OR
14 oz. ww acrylic yarn
J (6 mm) hook
Notes
Work all sl sts loosely
Bulky wt yarn, ch 81; WW yarn, ch 101
Instructions
Row 1: sl st in 3rd ch from hook, *(hdc in next ch, sl st in next ch: rep from across ending with sl st in last ch. Ch 2, turn.
Row 2: Sk 1st slip st: *sl st in next hdc, hdc in next sl st: rep from * across ending with sl st in top of turning ch 2. Ch 2, turn.
Repeat row 2 until length measures 35".
Edging: At end of last row, ch 1, turn.
Row 1: 3 sc in 1 st, sc in each st across to corner, 3 sc in corner, sc, ch 1 in every other row to next corner, 3 sc in corner, sc in each st across to corner, 3 sc in corner, sc, ch 1 in every other row to next corner, join with sl st in first sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: sc in ea sc and ch 1 sp, making 3 sc in each corner. Join with slip in 1st sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
