Project Linus Blanket Buzz
Jan 31, 2005

Catherine McMullen, CAVS, director of volunteer services at Somerset Medical Center, receives a $1,000 check from Barbara Schlacter of Somerville, medical center volunteer. Schlacter, an employee of The Disney Store, presented the check to McMullen to support Somerset Medical Center's Project Linus program, a national volunteer initiative that provides new, handmade blankets to traumatized children.

DisneyHand, part of the magic of The Walt Disney Company, donated the gift to Somerset Medical Center as part of its Worldwide Outreach Program, which honors Disney employees who volunteer in their communities. Schlacter has personally knitted 140 blankets for the Project Linus program.
