On our Project Linus Blanket Buzz pages, we display different events from across the country. Here you can read about and see where Project Linus blankets are made by volunteers and/or distributed to children in need.

Phoenix, AZ
January was a very busy month for us. Megan and I were able to kick the year off with a program we have been working on for many months at the Estrella jail in Phoenix. This is a first for county jails in Arizona. We met with a very attentive, pleasant, eager to please group of about 12 women who want to give back to children, much like their own. Through the encouragement of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office staff, each week the women will get together to tie the fleece blankets. A special thanks to Beth Wilson for hours of hard work cutting the fleece. We are very pleased to be able to teach more people the skills blanket making and hope this project will continue for many years to come.
