Donna King has a special goal--to send a blanket to every name with an email address on the Project Linus Chapter Listings web page. If you've peeked at this page, you know that's quite a task! Donna writes: I really wanted to do this quietly on my own and at my own pace. Lord willing in my lifetime my ultimate plan is to send blankets to not only our wonderful country but to Canada and England also... When I started this goal over a year ago I wanted to do something that would dry someone’s tears and maybe even make them smile along the way. I can’t recall how I heard about Project Linus but the person talking about it said, “It’s like wrapping a child in a hug.” Well, I’m a hugger and I knew that was exactly what I wanted to do. My first blanket went out on March 7th 2001 to Marilyn Marks. She was wonderful and very encouraging. I have met some WONDERFUL people whose hearts are just busting out with love for these kids! Project Linus applauds Donna’s efforts, and is proud to report that she’s well on her way to achieving her goal. Keep those blankets and hugs coming!
