On our Project Linus Blanket Buzz pages, we display different events from across the country. Here you can read about and see where Project Linus blankets are made by volunteers and/or distributed to children in need.
We welcome your submissions to Blanket Buzz! To submit, please send us an e-mail and attach any pictures you would like for us to include.
Please Note: If you have several pictures then please let us know beforehand so that we can be watching for them.
Helmie Lind is 100 and 1/2 years old. She lives at Aldersgate Independent Living Apartments in Greensboro, NC. She started with Project Linus 6 years ago when a program was started making No-Sew Blankets. She has crocheted her whole life so she made those blankets on the side. Over those 6 years she personally has made at least 100 crocheted blankets and helped with as many No-Sews. She has told me (chapter coordinator Vickie Joyner) she thought she would never be useful again, but look at her now. All the ladies at Aldersgate have added a great deal to this Chapter of Project Linus and for that I am grateful.
